5 Winter Car Care Mistakes to Avoid

Here are five things you should never do to your car in the winter, according to Scotty Kil

  1. Pour hot water on your windshield to melt the ice. This can shatter your windshield.
  2. Turn off your traction control in the snow. This can cause your car to slide.
  3. Drive too fast in the snow. This can cause you to lose control of your car.
  4. Try to jump start a car with jumper cables if the car has a dead battery. This can damage the electrical systems of both cars.
  5. Go out in the snow if you don’t have to. If you do have to go out, drive conservatively and never turn off your traction control.

By following these tips, you can help to keep your car safe and reliable during the winter months.
